Intempora is a software publisher specialized in real time on board applications and robotics. It has been incorporated in October 2000.
The software products developed and marketed by Intempora are based on the RTMaps technology, which is issued from the Centre de Robotique de l'Ecole des Mines de Paris.
In 2000, the Carsense European project, gathering industries (FIAT, BMW, Renault, Thales, Ibeo) and research labs (INRIA, LIVIC...) looked for a digital data logger and chose the RTMaps from Ecole des Mines. The objective was the perception of the objects around a moving vehicle. The approach was based on a combination of sensors and datafusion: vidéos, sounds, speed, GPS...
It was the first use of RTMaps and its contribution to the project' success was manifest. The software is now the property of Intempora which keeps on the technology development. RTMaps is adopted by important industrial groups (Renault, PSA, Valeo, Thalès, EADS...) and by national and European projects (Arcos, Puvame, REACT...).
Intempora, has been a prize-winner of the edition 2000 of the innovation competition organised by the Ministry of Research (ANVAR), in the category " Creation and Development " and was supported by Agoranov, a public incubator, through its first year of activity.
Installed since the end of 2001 in the "Cyberpépinière" of Issy-les-Moulineaux, the new technologies spot, the company was awarded for its product RTMaps, October 26, 2004, the Jury's Special Prize of the Léonard Trophies, Innovation category, by Automation-Optimation Europe.
Intempora is now made of 5 full-time persons and about the hire a new engineer. Intempora turnover approximated 0.5 million euros in year 2005.
Its objective is to keep on developing and promoting the RTMaps software in order to make it become an industry standard in a international context.
